Seven staff members from Forestry and Land Scotland took part in a personal development day at Cally Woods on 28th March.
Participants who who had come from across  south west Scotland were first shown features of the Designed Landscape of Cally before meeting up with instructor Kevin to face their hands-on challenge- a gap in the Cally boundary walls.
After an introduction to health and safety precautions and a short talk on the elements of dry stone dyking, the team then began to take down and rebuild a section of wall.  Although this was the first experience of dyking for most of the participants, they did an excellent job in restoring the damaged wall.
