The second REPS annual Forum was held in Mallorca on 18 & 19 April 2024, with the theme “Towards a European Drystone Cultural route:  The Art of dry stone walling, transfer of knowledge and techniques”.

The first day was dedicated to the presentation of training experience that have been carried out by the members of the international association, followed by three local experts that explained how dry stone skills and knowledge are transferred in different ways in Mallorca.

The second day was an opportunity to visit Serra de Tramuntana UNESCO mountain area. The group made a first stop to see a emblematic terraced area knew as Rotes de Caimari, before meeting Consell de Mallorca dry stone wallers staff that were rebuilding a huge dry stone wall.

Later, the group visited the Majorcan Dry Stone Route in Son Amer state, and a vocational training project where young apprentices are learning this deeply rooted technique. The forum ended with a local meal in Son Amer hiking refuge.
